The Colorado Center for Modern Psychoanalytic Studies (CCMPS) offers continuing education opportunities for mental health professionals interested in deepening their understanding of psychoanalytic theory, clinical practice, and the complexities of the human mind.
Our courses bring together clinicians, psychoanalytic candidates, faculty, and other professionals in an engaging environment centered on study, dialogue, and the practical application of psychoanalytic ideas. With courses offered online via Zoom, professionals can participate from across the United States and beyond.
Earn NBCC Continuing Education Credit
CCMPS is an NBCC Approved Continuing Education Provider (ACEP No. 7889). Qualifying programs provide mental health professionals with the opportunity to earn NBCC continuing education credit while exploring psychoanalytic concepts that can enrich clinical thinking and practice.
Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identified. CCMPS is solely responsible for all aspects of the programs
Psychoanalytic Continuing Education That Goes Deeper

Course offerings draw from Modern Psychoanalysis and a broad range of psychoanalytic perspectives, reflecting CCMPS’s inclusive approach to psychoanalytic education. Participants have opportunities to explore both foundational concepts and their relevance to contemporary clinical practice.
Who Can Participate?
CCMPS continuing education courses are designed for professionals interested in expanding their psychoanalytic knowledge and clinical perspective. Participants in the CCMPS community come from fields including mental health counseling, social work, psychiatry, psychotherapy, and psychoanalysis.
You do not need to be enrolled as a psychoanalytic candidate to participate in eligible CCMPS courses. Courses required for psychoanalytic candidates may also be taken by others for NBCC-approved credit hours or professional and personal education.
Online Psychoanalytic Courses
CCMPS has a long history of distance learning, making psychoanalytic education accessible to participants regardless of location. Courses are currently conducted via Zoom, allowing clinicians to engage with faculty and fellow participants without the need to travel.
